Categories and criteria
In 2024, the competition will be held in two series:
- Workplace Awards Finland
- International Workplace Awards (more information about this during the spring)
Workplace Awards Finland, as in previous years, gathers the most interesting workplace projects implemented in 2023 in four categories.
1. Company culture and management
This category is about projects that have developed an organisational culture and built a sense of community. It’s also about projects that have developed organisational performance and employee well-being. The criteria focuses on how leadership and management were developed, and what tools were used as part of the process. It also encompasses what working methods were used, and how employees were involved as part of the engagement within the project.
2. New tools and technologies
This category examines projects that demonstrate completely new solutions that were developed during the project evolution. The criteria asks what new tools and technologies were introduced, and how data was used to improve the user experience.
3. The physical working environment
In this category, the focus is about facilities and services that were developed during the project. The criteria looks at how multi-location was utilised, and what innovative spatial solutions were used as part of the final delivery.
4. Sustainability
All aspects of sustainability are examined as part of this category. It includes elements such as social, environmental and financial responsibility. The selection criteria is focused on ethical considerations, inclusiveness, circular economy analysis, the sharing economy and energy efficient initiatives.
